We are privileged to partner with these local ministries that serve kids & teens.
Please note that many ministries with kids & teens require vetting, background checks, and training to help keep everyone in a safe & healthy environment.
Backpack Buddies
A local ministry dedicated to fight childhood hunger in our schools. Over 900 students receive non-perishable food items each week. $30 provides food for one child for one month.

There are a few ways you can help:
- sponsor a child's food for a month
- help pack food bags & backpacks
- bring supplies for the bags & backpacks

First Priority
An in-school place for students to grow in their walks with Jesus & SHARE the hope of Jesus with fellow students in their schools.

How you can be involved:
-Donate breakfast items or snacks
- (Students) be in leadership in your school club!

Discovery Clubs
An after-school Bible club that provides a safe, fun environment for 3rd - 5th grade students to learn about Jesus and God’s rescue plan. Discovery Clubs is in many schools throughout the Birmingham area. Cedar Grove is actively involved with the Leeds Elementary School Club on Tuesdays.

Ways to be involved:
- Volunteer to be a Mentor!
- Donate snacks
- Give to Discovery Clubs

Alabama Baptist Children's Homes
There are approximately 6,000 children in Foster Care in Alabama. We exist to protect, nurture, and restore these children through Christ-Centered services:
- by providing homes that protect, nurture, and restore children from hard places
- by providing safe and stable environments to help struggling mothers and their dependents as they navigate through difficult life circumstances.
- by providing loving, trained Christian foster families
- by offering Christ-centered counseling
- by coming alongside kids who graduate high school while in our care to provide support as they pursue college or vocational training.

Ways to be involved:
- Give to AL Baptist Children's Home
- Volunteer to babysit for a foster family
- Provide a one time or once a month dinner (via meal box or pre-made frozen dinner) for Family Care families
- Volunteer for Camp of Champions
- Help wrap Christmas gifts
- Be a mentor to a mom or child

Oak Tree Ministries
A Gospel-Centered, Trauma-Informed, Community Support ministry laboring with the families in the Marks Village public housing community seeking fulfillment of God’s promises in Isaiah 61 to raise up for Himself Oaks of Righteousness for the display of His splendor.

Ways to be involved:
- Volunteer! There are various age groups & days of the week to get involved in serving! Kids, Teens, & Adults.
